Akamedia will come to Dresden for the 2009's congress of the CEPIC, the Coordination of European Press Agencies (Press Stock Heritage). As the first video member of the coordination, Akamedia will participate during the congress in the third international Photo Metadata Conference. Our CEO, Lionel FAUCHER will lecture about metadata applied to video. He will then join Christina VAUGHAN, CEO of Imagesource, Dr. Stephan BLEEK, CEO of Framepool AG, Gary MORGAN, CEO of SplashNews and Thomas SEWING, Director Sales Merchandising & co-productions of ZDF Archive into a keynote about the business perspectives of the video opportunity for picture agencies. Akamedia will also demo VIP Room its distribution solution for video content.

Akamedia first video member of CEPIC

On the 5th of December, Akamedia has been accepted as CEPIC Affiliate. It is a first time that a video company becomes member of CEPIC. The board of the coordination accepted Akamedia's application in acknowledgement of the convergence of the technologies and the interest of the organisation and its members in sharing knowhow with an innovative player.

CEPIC, the Coordination of European Picture Agencies Press Stock Heritage, was
established in Berlin in 1993 as a European economic interest group
(E.E.I.G) not for profit in accordance with the European Communities
Regulation and registered in Paris in 1999. CEPIC has Observer Status
at WIPO, the World Intellectual Property Organisation and is an
Associate Member of I.P.T.C, the International Press Telecommunications
Council. CEPIC represents over 1,000 picture sources in Europe with
members from most different European countries.
