On the 5th of December, Akamedia has been accepted as CEPIC Affiliate. It is a first time that a video company becomes member of CEPIC. The board of the coordination accepted Akamedia's application in acknowledgement of the convergence of the technologies and the interest of the organisation and its members in sharing knowhow with an innovative player.

CEPIC, the Coordination of European Picture Agencies Press Stock Heritage, was established in Berlin in 1993 as a European economic interest group (E.E.I.G) not for profit in accordance with the European Communities Regulation and registered in Paris in 1999. CEPIC has Observer Status at WIPO, the World Intellectual Property Organisation and is an Associate Member of I.P.T.C, the International Press Telecommunications Council.
